This three-day workshop focuses on the fundamentals of lighting, which include lighting technologies such as LEDs, lamp and ballast systems, lighting terminology, fixture types, cost of light and an introduction to lighting controls. Participants will be able to actively engage and apply skills learned throughout each session while interacting with instructors and classmates. Lighting Fundamentals is not only a course for those new to the industry, but also a refresher course for those who are looking to re-establish the basics of their lighting knowledge.

Lighting Fundamentals for Eaton's Cooper Lighting Agents
Three-Day course, fee waived for Eaton's Cooper Lighting Agents - $525.00

Intended for Cooper Lighting agents only, this three-day class will focus on Cooper Lighting products, performance and competitive differences.  This workshop will allow new agents to actively apply skills learned during each session.  This introductory level class will cover lighting terminology, photometry, LEDs, fixture types and an introduction to lighting controls.  The third day of the class will be focused on spending time with the customer service, technical and applications departments.

LEDs, Controls, New Technologies and Retrofits for Energy Efficient Solutions
Two-Day Workshop. CEUs: Up to 12 hours available. - $400.00

This two day class will focus on the latest energy saving strategies through lighting and control strategies for industrial, commercial, warehousing, and exterior environments.  Participants will gain an understanding of the advantages of the latest in lighting and control technologies including multiple benefits that LED technology offers. Multiple applications will be discussed by allowing the participant to gain knowledge on how to identify and recommend energy saving lighting systems. Both new installations and retrofits will be discussed based on budget, energy consumption and installed costs. Lighting legislation, including EPACT, LEED, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, will be discussed as well as how to identify and utilize rebate programs that help to speed adoption of these products into the different spaces where energy savings are needed and required.

  • Energy Management through controls
  • Proper criteria to select the appropriate lighting products to increase energy savings
